Caliber 125-mm munitions compatible with tank models T-64, T-72 and T80 are being manufactured in cooperation with an unnamed NATO member state.

This is already the fourth ammo type that is produced using Ukraine’s own industrial capacities, or jointly with NATO partners. The news was announced by the state concern Ukroboronprom, an association of enterprises working in the defense sector. The official statement also noted that the first 125-mm ammo batch has been delivered to military service.
“By order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the first batch of 125-mm shells for T-64, T-72 and T-80 tanks has already been delivered, with which the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine beat the occupiers,” wrote the press service of Ukroboronprom.
The same state-owned business group also manufactures 120-mm mortar mines in multiple production facilities, some of which are located in foreign European countries.
According to recent reports, the company has also established production lines for 82-mm mortar mines, and also for 122-mm and 152-mm artillery ammunition. The first batches of these shells are yet to be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
