Challenge: Refrigerant Mass Flow Metering Device

NineSigma’s client, a major provider of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for civil and industrial application is currently looking for a Mass Flow Metering Device for refrigerant gases in closed loop.

The ideal refrigerant Flow Meter should be light, easy to integrate within/on/around a tube, with high accuracy, high reactivity, high reliability, high mechanical resistance and unaffected by vibrations or variations in pressure and temperature surrounding environment.

It is well-acknowledged that reducing energy consumption in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Environmental Control System (ECS) is one of fundamental measures to meet the net zero carbon emissions target.

A key step in increasing efficiency of HVAC and ECS in industrial activities comes from designing advanced flow metering solutions that can support operational efficiency of the whole system.

In this frame, NineSigma’s client, a major provider of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems for civil and industrial applications, is currently looking for a Mass Flow Metering Device. The Flow Meter will be integrated into closed-loop refrigerant-gas-based systems to be mounted on board aeronautical vehicles.

Submissions to this Challenge must be received by May 22, 2023.
