New AI-based productivity tools from Google are intended to help you edit your emails and collaborate within the cloud software. The company makes this step just days before its rival Microsoft presents its new developments.
Just a couple of weeks ago first rumors appeared saying that Google is rapidly pushing forward the integration of its artificial intelligence technology in its mainstream products. And today we already have the first results.
New AI-based collaboration and communication tools are clearly aimed at countering similar proposals from its rival Microsoft, which is also expected to reveal a new product suite this week.
According to Alphabet, Google’s parent company, the new “magic wand” functionality works with its Google Docs software. Here, users will be able to use automated content generation features, including drafting blog articles, creating plans for various activities, as well as generate other types of content.
The software is also capable of automatically revising the text tone, according to the user’s preference. You can also make summaries of message threads in Gmail, or even create draft slide presentations.
Microsoft already gave a first hint about its upcoming event which is planned for tomorrow, March 16, 2023, where it will introduce its efforts in “reinventing productivity with AI”. In this event, analysts expect to see new features for the Microsoft Word software.
